8-2-2009 Michael gets Baptized

8-2-2009

Michael got Baptized this Sunday! He accepted Jesus into his heart as his Lord and Savior and I am so very proud of him, he was excited to get this done :)

Not all our loved ones could be there with us so I decided to post Michael's recording to post on here for everyone to share with us :)

One of the things in Michael's Easter basket was a milk chocolate duck...cute. It really didnt taste good but Michael wanting to bite the duck's head off did so, however the taste wasnt up to parr and sadly the duck went right into the trash can :)

We have been really busy here lately and I have been neglecting the blogging :)

Just to catch up, we have just celebrated Easter, Michael got a Bible story book and he loves it and has been reading it a lot.

He also started Good News Club in his school which meets each Monday and they learn about God, Jesus and Bible. I think this will be good for him.

Recently passed Michael's school had their school "fair" which was fun and Michael really enjoyed himself.

Still taking his golf lessons and no complaints :) He likes it a lot!

The Easter weekend Michael's cousin stayed with us, and they dyed eggs and it was fun!

Also they got to help me with Easter dinner and SNAPPING the beans which they thought was fun to say the least.

How to Enjoy a Nice 70 degree Sunday :)

Well with this weather we have been having here lately, we are taking advantage of a beautiful day. Friday - raining - Stormy, Saturday, started off snowing, and windy 30 degrees! We totally stayed in the last two days! Today is a major improvement and we took full advantage. We had golf lessons today which was good, afterwards dad wanted to go fishing so we ventured to a couple of lakes before we settled at one in Mckinney off 75.
Michael saw the paddle boats and asked if he could ride and off we went to take on the lake in our rubber duckie paddle boat LOL

All in all we had a good day....

Michael Goes to the Zoo

During Michael's spring break from school he was invited to the Ft Worth zoo by his auntie Galena and cousins...he of course wanted to take MY camera - which was a big NO, so I stopped in to Walgreens and picked him up a one time use camera (of course if he lost that one then it would only be $5 out the door instead of over $100 lost.

As soon as he got home and showed me that he had his camera and said he wanted his own digital camera.

Here are some pictures he took (which are really good pictures!)

Also I am not 100% sure what some of these pictures are - Michael assures me that they are animals :)

Thanks for looking!

Update

I received a call from Michael's school today to pick him up - he wasnt feeling too good, nose is running like crazy and coughing and sneezing comes along with it...not to mention he had a bathroom accident at school. I came and picked Michael up and thankfully he has such an awesome uncle who offered to watch him while his dad and me worked.

I picked Michael up gave him some medicine and he went to sleep and allowed his uncle to work.

When I arrived home from work he was looking and acting like he felt a lot better then the little boy I picked up laying on the floor in the nurses office.

He is still having some nasty nose issues so he has been on the medicine big time. I hope this will pass really soon I dont like to see Michael sick. I am sure he doesnt like being sick either. Who likes being sick?

Other then that Saturday he had his 'busy' day...starting with his last basketball game, basketball season party and cousin's birthday party. He had fun :)

On Sunday he had his golf lessons and then his friend Mason's birthday party.

I have a few pictures, not a lot :)

He was a busy busy little boy which was sorta good because he slept really well those nights :)

We are currently lookin for golf clubs for him, hopefully we will find some soon.

He is excited to play golf. He likes it a lot.

Today has been a fun day for Michael!

He did go to school today but got to get out early!

Directly after getting out of school - he went to have lunch with his mom and dad at Ci-Ci's Pizza buffet!

Went shopping with his mom - and got a Kite and some new additions to the family!

We went to test fly the kite which was shaped like a fish...and the wind picked up a little too strong and Michael didnt have a tight enough grip and the kite flew allllll the way up to the roof of the apartment building and wrapped around the chimmney and got stuck. It did still continue to fly in the wind a good amount of time - it was still flying around when we decided it was time to go home. Michael was heart broken about his kite...but I let him know we would get him a new one tomorrow :)

Now on to our new additions...we call them; Stripie...Orange Slice and Doriee!

Meet the new additions!

I am not sure if you can see all three - it took a lot to get a pic of them not floating around....and Notice Yoshi and Goomba in the tank as well LOL

It's Golf Time!

I just signed Michael up for golf! I am super excited to tell him when he gets home from school!
He has been asking me for a long time to sign him up, we have signed him up for soccer and basketball...but he didnt seem to like those. Continues to want to play golf...the places I have been looking into seemed a bit pricey or just no luck at all...until today!
I called Hank Haney to just check on pricing...they have a beginners Sunday clinic which is 1 hour every Sunday. The lady I spoke to told me that some kids that come into it are naturals, and some it will take a month or so of practicing every Sunday until they get it. It will only cost $20 each Sunday clinic! That isnt bad at all! They then evaluate the kids to see if they are ready to go to the next level (which I forgot the name she called it) on that they start to actually really play and can do competitions. And that upon the evaluation on if he can go to it or not will only be $250 a month!
I am praying this is Michael's "thing" since he shows such a strong intrest in it...and wants to pick up a golf club everytime he sees one.
I really believe in my heart that Michael's want to play golf may stem from when we lived back in VA and Mike would take Michael and me along when he played golf or went to the driving range. I am praying that Michael actually will enjoy golf and want to look forward to going to his lessons.

**Update - I let Michael know today when I picked him up from school that he is signed up for golf lessons and he is thrilled! His first lesson is on Sunday!**

Michael's Dentist Appointment

Well Michael's 6 month check up at the dentist was yesterday he was very scared to go (I guess he was remembering back when he needed to get fillings and the pain it was) I let him know it would be fine and it was! He was in there for about 5 minutes, enough to check his teeth and clean them and do a floride treatment.
However we do neeed to schedule another appointment for him because apparently the back filling that he has needs to be re-done. Also we just found out that his 6-7 year old teeth are coming in wayyyy in the back. He has not complained of pain in his mouth yet but it is just now breaking through the gums.
I wasnt aware that they came in at thsi age - I thought he had them all and just was going to loose them and get new ones...but apparently they start loosing them at 6-7 and getting their adult teeth, at this time the 1st set of molars come in...the second set of molars come in around age 11...and then the 3rd set (which are also called wisdom teeth) come in later between age 17-22.

All Things Mario :)

Just a few things Mario related :) So cool!

Here are some Bento Lunches (Bento Lunch is a single-portion takeout or home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine. A traditional bento consists of rice, fish or meat, and one or more pickled or cooked vegetables as a side dish. Containers range from disposable mass produced to hand crafted lacquerware. Although bento is readily available in many places throughout Japan, including convenience stores, bento shops train stations, and department stores, it is still common for Japanese homemakers to spend considerable time and energy producing an appealing boxed lunch.)

They even have Mario Wedding cakes...

And Mario Themed cars :)

A statue made of cans - it's MARIO!

They even have MARIO energy drinks! YUM! I am guessing that drink makes you "super mario"

An awesome bedroom design of The Mushroom Kingdom...

Mario Shoes??? Which came out in '07 so I dont think they make them anymore.

Mario Klik? I am guessing it is something like PEZ?

Yummm....Cupcakes...Mario Style!

**Note: We had no way participated in the de-facing of this money, we found it while searching on the internet**

This is pretty neat - mural made with thumb tacks!

Yoshi and Kirby made from food :)
